Last updated: February 2026. We take your privacy seriously — this document explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
When you use Ablooma, we collect: your questionnaire responses, location information (zip code or city), insurance provider and plan type, scheduling preferences, and basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage). If you create an account, we also store your email address and name. We do not collect clinical notes, session content, or any information from your therapy sessions.
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by major financial institutions. Our infrastructure runs on HIPAA-compliant cloud services with Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) in place. Access to production data is restricted to essential personnel only, with full audit logging.
Matched therapists receive a curated match profile that includes your presenting concerns, therapy preferences, insurance compatibility, and scheduling availability. They never see your raw questionnaire responses, individual answer scores, or any data beyond what's necessary for the match. You can preview exactly what a therapist will see before confirming a match.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purpose. The only parties who access your data are: matched therapists (limited match profile only), our infrastructure providers under BAAs, and essential internal team members for support purposes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personally identifiable information is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data (which cannot be traced back to any individual) may be retained for platform improvement purposes.
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to: access all data we hold about you, download a complete copy of your data in a portable format, request correction of any inaccurate data, and permanently delete all your data. California residents have additional rights under CCPA, and EU residents under GDPR. All of these actions are available through your account settings with one click — no need to email us.
We use essential cookies for platform functionality (login sessions, preferences). We use anonymous analytics to understand how people use Ablooma so we can improve the experience. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party advertising technology. We never serve ads.
Ablooma is designed for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@ablooma.com.
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify all registered users via email of any material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. The date of the most recent revision is always noted at the top of this page.
For any privacy-related questions or requests, email privacy@ablooma.com. We respond within 48 hours.
